From Field to Funder

Using AI Ethically to Strengthen Your Reporting Process

See how AI can turn voice notes, photos and observations from the field into clear, donor-ready reporting, saving your team hours of rewriting and translating. You’ll see the tools in action and leave with a practical, human-reviewed workflow you can adapt to your own team.

About this session:

Your field officers know what's happening on the ground. Your donors need to hear it in their language. Getting from one to the other takes hours of rewriting, chasing, and translating, and something always gets lost.

This session demonstrates how AI can support that translation process: turning raw field inputs such as voice notes, photos, and written observations into structured, donor-ready language. Participants will see a live walkthrough using both free and paid tools, with a clear view of what each can and cannot do.

The session is built around responsible use. AI assists; it does not replace your programme staff's judgment. Every output goes through human review before it reaches a funder.

Participants leave with a working system their team can adapt, and a practical understanding of where AI fits into a reporting workflow and where it does not.

What participants will see:

  • A live demo using real field materials (audio, images, written notes)
  • Free tool options vs. paid options and the difference in output
  • A human-in-the-loop review process built into the workflow
  • What a full reporting system looks like at scale
