About this session:

To close YBI’s AI Month, we’re putting the spotlight on real experiences from within the YBI network.

In this peer-learning session, Impact Square (South Korea) and CURAD (Uganda) will share how they are exploring and applying AI in their own work - from impact measurement and MEL to agribusiness incubation, entrepreneurship development and MSME support.

Impact Square will share their experience developing Impactology AI, a solution designed to turn documents organisations already have, such as investor decks, business plans and programme data, into a structured impact report aligned with the IMP framework. The tool can suggest relevant outcomes and indicators along the way, and can also help organisations supporting multiple businesses apply a consistent impact measurement process across an entire cohort. You’ll hear about the thinking behind the solution, what they’ve learned from developing it, and how they’re applying AI to MEL and impact measurement.

CURAD will share how they are exploring and applying AI across their work in agribusiness incubation, entrepreneurship development, training and MSME support. They’ll share some of their innovations, experiences and lessons from experimenting with AI, followed by an opportunity for participants to ask questions and explore the ideas further.

This is a chance to move beyond the theory and hear what AI looks like when Enterprise Support Organisations start testing, adapting and applying it in the real world.

By the end of the session, participants will:

  • Discover practical ways YBI members are using AI in their day-to-day work.
  • See examples of how AI can support MEL, impact measurement and reporting.
  • Explore how AI can be applied to entrepreneur support, training and business development.
  • Learn from the experiences, experiments and lessons of other YBI members.
  • Identify ideas and approaches they could explore within their own organisation.
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions and share their own experiences of using AI.

A practical, peer-led session to bring YBI’s AI Month to a close - with ideas you can take away and explore in your own work.
