About this session:

AI is moving fast, with new tools and capabilities appearing all the time. But you don’t need to chase every new development to make AI useful in your work. What matters is understanding what AI can do for you now, which tools are best suited to different tasks, and how to work with them effectively.

This practical session will cut through some of the noise and focus on the skills that matter. You’ll explore how to choose the right AI tool for the job, how to ask better questions and get more useful results, and how to use AI safely when working with information and files. Through practical examples and live demonstrations, you’ll see how AI can move beyond simply answering questions to helping you get real work done.

We’ll also look at AI agents - what they are, how they can support everyday tasks, and how you can start building one yourself.

By the end of the session, you’ll:

  • Feel more confident navigating the current AI landscape.
  • Know how to choose the right tool for different tasks.
  • Have practical techniques for getting better results from AI.
  • Understand key principles for using AI safely at work.
  • Have ideas and a simple framework for creating your own AI agent.
